We need everyone’s help this week reaching out to members of the Georgia Organics community to record 30-second videos for the Stay Local year-end campaign. Watch Caroline’s example above!
We want them to answer two questions on camera to spotlight farmers:
Why is it important to buy from local farmers?
Who's your favorite farmer and what do you love to buy from them?
The only requirement is that you reach out to the people you work with who love farmers, this could even include farmers themselves taking about other farmers.
Caroline created a sample email below for you to send to anyone you think would like to participate. We’re trying to get as many videos as possible. Please keep in mind that we want a diverse array of voices represented in this campaign.
The deadline to send in videos is Oct. 31, but people can send them anytime beginning today, Oct. 19.

I hope this email finds you well!
We are kicking off Stay Local, our Georgia Organics year-end campaign and would like to center the voices of our good food community members sharing with our audience why it is so vital that they #StayLocal and buy from farmers.
We are asking folks to send us 30 second videos of themselves answering the following questions:
Why is it important to buy from local farmers?
Who's your favorite farmer and what do you love to buy from them?
These responses will be featured on our social media accounts as part of our member drive.
Would you be interested in participating? If so, please follow these steps:
Find a well-lit area with minimal background noise
Set your phone horizontally on a flat surface to record
Hit record
Introduce yourself (first and last name), your city, and your organization (if you work in the food movement)
Answer the questions: Why is it important to buy from local farmers? Who's your favorite farmer and what do you love to buy from them?
Begin your answers with “It is important to buy from local farmers because…” and “My favorite farmer is [so and so with such and such farm] and I love to buy…”
Save the video file as [Last name]_StayLocal
